Pro Career

Signed with Titans as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2004 and was signed to Tennessee’s practice squad on Sept. 3, 2004, where he spent the 2004 NFL regular season...re-signed with Titans as a free agent Feb. 1, 2005...Allocated to NFL Europe League by Titans and assigned to Amsterdam Admirals...finished season by winning the NFL Europe World Bowl Championship...earned spot on All-NFLE Team after rushing for 578 yards (104 carries) and finishing tied with a league-high seven touchdowns...ranked second in NFL Europe with 5.6-yards per carry and caught 16 receptions for 160 yardswhile playing in 10 games with five starts at running back for Amsterdam.


College Career

As senior, led nationally ranked Miami Hurricanes in rushing (985), rushing touchdowns (7), 100-yard games (3) and all-purpose yards (1,121). Came off bench to replace an injured Frank Gore and recorded 10 receptions against West Virginia, which ranked second for catches in school history by running back. As junior, saw action at both tailback and kick returner. Replaced an injured Willis McGahee in overtime of national championship game against Ohio State, gaining 17 yards on eight carries and one reception for seven yards. Played in eight games at fullback during sophomore season. Majored in liberal arts


Personal Bio

Played quarterback, tailback and receiver at St. Viator (Arlington, Ill.) HS. Named to the Chicago Sun-Times and Daily Herald all-area teams as senior, accounting for 2,842 all-purpose yards. Also played soccer, where he led team to third-place finish in state championships in his final season. Son of the late Walter Payton, the former Chicago Bears running back and member of the NFL Hall of Fame. Born Jarrett Walter Payton on December 26, 1980 in Arlington, Ill.
